OUR ANTI-GALV® INITIATIVE

As exclusive stockists of the patented, non-corrosive Powaplast™ range of mounting components we aim to address the problem of metallic corrosion in solar mounting from a multitude of angles.

UNIFORM CORROSION:

Being manufactured from reinforced industrial-strength polyamide, the Powaplast™ range is extremely resistant to uniform corrosion – most commonly accelerated in highly-prone coastal areas – when compared to metal alloys.

GALVANIC CORROSION:

Seeing as Powaplast™ roof brackets are made of fibreglass-reinforced Nylon 6 – as opposed to aluminium or steel – there is no chance of galvanic or bimetallic corrosion in either element when fixed in direct contact to any kind of metal roof sheeting.

This will preserve the structural integrity of both the roof sheeting and the mounting components themselves.

In addition, we utilize fibreglass-reinforced polymer washers to separate aluminium and stainless steel components at critical points within our mounting systems to ensure optimal lifespan and structural integrity.

AIRBORNE CHEMICAL CORROSION:

Unlike metal alloys, the Powaplast™ reinforced Nylon polymer offers excellent corrosion resistance to common airborne pollutants like sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide found in industrial areas, delivering optimum performance and longevity in potentially hazardous environments.
